Diversity Of U.S. Population Increasing The "1999 United States Population Data Sheet" from the U.S. Population Reference Bureau also focuses on the changing diversity of the United States, and includes information on age, income, and educational attainment.  According to the report, by the year 2015 racial and ethnic minorities will  account for one third of the U.S. population. Hispanics are expected to be  the largest of these minority groups.
